Done with eight semesters and four years of hard work, countless assignments and a lifetime of memories- that is the story of graduate student ever! So what next? Like a lot of other students I was also thinking the same- Job or Masters? I decided to opt for Masters because of my ardent love for biotechnology. When I fixed my mind on masters , came the next question where to pursue it from India or abroad. As much as I wanted to do my masters from abroad, situations were not favourable and I decided to do my masters from India.
So how did I get into masters in India? The undergraduates may know of the GATE entrance examination conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore for admission in these institutes. However, by the time I had decided it was too late to appear for the examinations and hence I looked into all the private colleges like Amity University, Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM university to name a few. These colleges had there own examination and I cleared all of them. I decided to go to Amity University Mumbai and it was an amazing experience for me.
I will write about how to pursue masters from abroad in my next blog.
Till then adios
XOXO- caffeinated girl ❤
